Based in Los Angeles, Boss Witch Productions is an artistic production company working at the intersection of experimental sound art, ritual performance, video art, and transmedia collaboration—often situated within natural landscapes and unusual performance sites. We center creatives from diasporic and other underrepresented communities, producing and supporting innovative works rooted in deep engagement with place, community, history, collaboration, craft, imagination, and the liminal spaces generated through their friction. While we believe in the power of ephemeral performances, we are equally committed to preserving and archiving embodied repertoires via our film and video work, sound recordings, and emerging publishing initiatives. 

Founded in 2020 by Carmina Escobar, Mads Falcone, and Madison Heying to establish a sustainable, artist-driven infrastructure for the creation of experimental, site-specific work. We seek to reimagine our relationship to the world around us creating immersive innovative exhibitions, performances, and sound art related to land and ritual while leaving a minimal human footprint.

Boss Witch launched in 2020 with two projects related to the sacred natural, ritual, and the subversion of social constructs: Under the Sun's Shadow (Bajo la Sombra Del Sol) and Vox Clamantis. These works supported a creative and production team of 34 artists, including 65% artists of color, and 60% artists of underrepresented genders.

2022–2023 includes the completion of Vox Clamantis, as well as the launch of the Boss Witch MOONBLOOD Summer Fellowship, and our first commission with composer and performer M.A. Harms.

Our work is driven by deep engagement with place, community, history, collaboration, craft, imagination, and the liminal spaces that the rubbing of these elements create. We seek to lurk in nature, searching for playfulness in freedom, finding agency and power on our own terms.
